Network Consulting
If your network and/or Wi-Fi goes down, your business can grind to a screeching halt. Let us evaluate what you are using currently, discuss your current and future network needs, what security policies need to be in place and your budget so we can plan out and design your new network. If you are solely using the modem provided by your ISP, that isn’t a firewall and it isn’t stopping anyone from trying to hack into your network. Additionally, today’s firewalls allow us troubleshoot as a much more granular level. For example: we can tell you your network is running slow today because your employee Jim has been streaming netflix since 10am. C’mon, Jim, we have a job to do here!
Fix What Isn’t Working
We can work directly with your internet service provider (ISP) to rule out any issues there to start. After that, we’ll examine your entire network and all the equipment. Perhaps the issue has a quick fix, or perhaps an upgrade of network equipment is needed. Often Murph Consulting is called in to fix the following:
- Slow Internet
- WiFi Signal is Weak
- WiFi Not Working
- And much more.
New System Design
Moving into a new space or need a network equipment upgrade?
We’ll sit and talk about your current and future network needs, what security policies need to be in place and your budget so we can plan out and design your new network.
Give us an empty room and we’ll build you a network. From purchasing everything you need to cabling, setting up the rack, installing the firewall, the switches, the wireless access points, Sonos, and whatever else you need. We can set up your network from scratch.
New System Installation
We are experts in several different brands/flavors of firewalls, switches, and wireless access points. After discussing your needs, we’ll make recommendations on what you need, make the purchase, and set it all up for you outside of business hours if need be so we don’t disrupt your workflow. Some of the items included in network installation include:
- Firewall Installation
- Switch Installation
- Wireless Access Points (WAPs)
- Virtual Private Networks (VPNs)
- Virtual Local Area Networks (VLANs)
- Access Point Location (WiFi)
Network Maintenance
Network devices need their software updated when those updates are made available by their manufacturer. Additionally, firewalls will have licenses that need to be renewed (typically every 3 years). We stay on top of these updates so you don’t have to.
We set up alerts on your network devices so that we get notified of problems immediately. This allows us to stay proactive so we see problems before you do.
